Season of light

Hectic days at my little residence. With the 1st Sunday of Advent tomorrow there's a lot to get in place today and especially one item take quite some time to get in order, the Christmas tree with all it's ornaments.

Forget bodybuilding, I got a full workout just hauling the damn Christmas tree up from the basement. What the hell did they put inside it, it weighs a solid 20 kilo's!

More snow

Just another shot from yesterdays walk, more of that pesky white stuff...

Childhood's End - First Love

Got this adorable little teddy bear today, less than 10 centimeters high and actually an antique as it is 55 years old. Of course it will be used for Childhood's End shots like "First Love" and others.

Tree stump

Snow covered tree stump found on todays little walk...

Rose hip

Due to a faulty light switch part of my apartment power grid has been disabled for a couple of days and of course it was the part on which my office is located, hence the lack of posts. Back up and running now and today the first winter snow fell and settled so I did go for a short tour of the neighborhood where I found these snow covered rose hip berries.

Reclaim

Something that always spark my interest is how nature keep reclaiming ground lost to us humans, there just is no winning for us against nature.

K9 style

Working hard or hardly working? Another day without Printler relaunching, beginning to wonder if they will at all, another day without me being able to launch my campaign and until I know if the site will actually launch it's no idea to start another campaign as they may end up clashing. I'll just take a page from this guys book and relax a bit.

Oh deer

Winter is upon us in Sweden, this however is a view we won't be seeing as far south as I am located. These reindeer (and a whole bunch more) I shot just outside of Pajala in the north of the country some winters ago.

Summertime Santa

No, it's not Summertime Santa, it's Dan Dark of Torch being an MC (master of ceremonies) at West Coast Rock Festival 2017. Such a delightful man, he became an instant friend.

Restful

There appear to be further delays with the relaunch of Printler, unfortunately, and no information or updates on the progress either. Here I sit with a campaign ready for the blogs as well as social medias, even a nice competition prepared, and can do nothing. Guess it'll be a restful day while waiting.

Btw, this image will in time be made available as a print at Printler.

City council

A few weeks ago I got a request for images for a budget document for the city council and today I got my own copy for my archives. These are the images that were used in the document, all are shot in the village where I reside.

Curbed

Returning to the local rag for a moment. In addition to my own article my image "Curbed" from the Childhood's End series was included with another article. It sure is nice to see my own images in print.

Trick or treat

The new issue of the local rag (Allehanda) is out and of course I have a piece in it. It is in Swedish though, the intended audience is Swedish.

Front end

There appears to be a delay with the relaunch at Printler, possibly due to some technical issues, so while waiting here's the front end of a 3-wheeler Morgan I shot at a classic vehicle event in Nyköping, Sweden, this summer...

No straight lines

Currently awaiting a green light of sorts, Printler is due to be relaunched today but haven't opened the online store just yet. In the meanwhile please enjoy this little tidbit proving that there are no straight lines in nature.

Cloudy skies

Time to get some downtime after the hectic last few days. As the weather outside, grey and cold, won't provide many nice shots I choose to enjoy some summer memories with another kind of cloudy skies that are more pleasant.

Getting dressed

Keeping myself busy. Four days from now Printler will re-open and to make things a little more intersting a T-shirt shop that will feature some of the same motifs is being opened. In fact, the shop is already open with a few tees and new items will be added continously.

Eurasian

It's been a couple of hectic days, most of Wednesday and Thursday I got stuck with translating a 200 page science report and yesterday most of the day was spent in court. While getting my bearings back a little I give you a Eurasian Bullfinch found this summer just a few hundred meters from my residence.

Peacock

Handymen busy making a lot of noise here today, working isn't really an option with the disturbance so I give you a summer memory instead in the form of a European Peacock Butterfly seen from the ventral side.

Memories

The end of the fall season is nothing but grey, cold and dark. Luckily there are loads of summer memories to keep us warm and brighten our day.

Input time

With the coming re-opening of the Printler shop a little input from you would be nice. Which kind of imagery would you like to be able to purchase as prints or posters, which way should I point the tips of my shoes?

No, those are not my shoes below, they were left standing against a wall for months by some unknown perpetrator...

Printed matters

Excellent news! A fortnight from today Printler will re-open and you'll be able again to purchase chosen images from MetalPhoto as high quality prints. Some of the Childhood's End pictures will be made available as well.

Cooking Metal

Today has been a quiet day for me online, this morning I went in for an electroneurography exam of my wrists to determine if I have a bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome and after that the hands have not been very cooperative. To give you something I'm giving you a little background on me, myself and I.

Until last fall I was publishing Scandinavias largest rock blog and also published a range of cookbooks where the real masterpiece is a book made in cooperation with Swedish rock bands and photographers presenting the bands favourite recipes, short bios of them and some exclusive artwork. Actually, the cover of the book also is an exclusive piece.

The book, unfortunately, is only available in Swedish. Contrary to the claims of Swedish music journalist Anders Tengner he didn't do the first rock cook book in the World, Annick Giroux from Canada did that. In fact, he wasn't even the first in Sweden to do this. I was.

With Christmas coming up, why not invest in copies of the book for your friends and relatives who like to cook or enjoy heavier rock music (or both)? It can be found at Adlibris, Bokus and CDON with the ISBN 9789163710346 or you can order it directly from the publishing house through the link below.

Thrift

Every Saturday I hit the local thrift stores, second hand shops and flea markets in pursuit of objects to use for various photo projects, most of the "models" for Childhood's End have been found in the favourite thrift store Fyndhörnan and should you be in my neck of the woods on a Saturday you really should pay them a visit.

Todays raid generated a couple of nice tealight lanterns.
