Season's End
Part of my recovery after surgery includes walking and of course the Alpha tags along. This time of year there are loads of Season's End material to shoot.
Memories
One of many great things with photography is that when the cold season arrives we always have summer memories preserved to keep us a little warmer until next spring and summer.

Railway sunset
Today I got stuck digging deep down in my archive looking for images for a local publication. Time consuming to say the least, a couple of hours longer days would be good.

300 frames
It did take it's toll a bit on my back, but it's totally worth it. 300 frames, give or take, shot at an early Halloween event and next up is to sort them and also choose a couple for an article for the local rag that I'll be writing tomorrow.

In print
Returning to the Clean Streets initiative for a moment, I did get a piece published in the local rag. This is in Swedish I'm afraid, the target audience for the magazine are Swedes though.
Clean streets
Due to the recent surgery, just over a week ago, I have been taking it easy for a couple of days as I will have a lot of shooting to do tomorrow with two local events and had to make sure my back will be operational. In the afternoon and evening there is a Halloween event for kids and earlier in the day the second Clean Streets event of the year when everyone (more or less) in the village pitch in and clean the streets. This image is from the earlier event in April.

In the red
Soon all the colors of the season will be gone as winter draws closer, enjoy them while they're there...
Blowing in the wind
Although portrait photography isn't what I usually do at times I do take on such assignments and when I do I try to make the images in my own style.
Balancing act
Birds are awesome. I spent half an hour watching this fellow sleeping and in the whole time not a feather moved.

Childhood's End - Duality
An older image that wasn't originally intended for Childhood's End but did fit right in so it got included, Duality...

Frozen
Winter is coming and with a little luck there will be sunny days while there's snow so there will be some nice photo opportunities. Last winter I had no luck with that, but I did get some decent shots of icicles.
Moon gazing
Like a child with a new toy I rush out when I have a new lens to try it out and see what it will let me do. When I got a 500 millimeter super telephoto lens I did just that and that day the moon was full.
Autumn leaf
The fall season is a beautiful time of the year even though it can be cold and rugged as nature dazzle us with one last burst of colors before winter.
Floored
The good doctor told me to take it easy at least for a couple of days after the surgery, it's a good thing I have my "little" archive to browse to find images for you to enjoy. Just dug up these floored roses to share with you.

F-hole
Not only do they produce wonderful music, the instruments are works of art themselves as well. Here's a study of the bridge and one of the two f-holes on a black violin.
Childhood's End - Dollyween
All Hallows' Eve is on the horizon, so why not do a Childhood's End image for that? I give you Dollyween.
Landing
Just like a hoverfly coming in for a landing searching for nectar I have landed back in reality and am about to slowly get back to normality. Surgery was done yesterday and it went well. Now I'm fit for fight and will get to work giving you loads of nice images to enjoy.

Solitude
Entering an energy preservation mode of sorts for a couple of days, so there will be a minimum of images posted I'm afraid. By the end of the week I'll be undergoing surgery to fix two herniated discs in my lower back and won't be able to work as much as I would like to.
For now I'd like to share an old favourite of mine, "Solitude".

Wings
Soon enough winter will arrive and with it freezing cold weather. All that is left of the past summer are memories and there won't be any winged creatures like the common blue butterfly around again for another eight months or so.
Nonstop
Every now and then I do commercial shoots as well, for CandyLand with Marabou Nonstops for instance.

All that jazz
With an "artist" name like The Rocking Chef it is quite obvious that jazz isn't really my cup of tea, but some jazz is appreciated even by me. A couple of years ago I had the opportunity to get to know the lovely Gunhild Carling at the release event for United Influencers, needless to say she became a dear and valued friend with whom I love discussing music.
At the event I got the opportunity to shoot some portrait shots of the lady, here are a couple of them.

Sunset
One of the more popular motifs for both shooting and viewing is sunsets and I have to confess that even I have shot one or two of those. Here's one from Eslöv in the south of Sweden.
I got canned
Sometimes Childhood's End is just a little playful fun too, one can't roam around being serious all the time, and I give you two "Canned" images...

Childhood's End - Opposition
Every now and then a Childhood's End creation also is a statement or a social commentary, like Opposition. What you read into it is personal and subject to your own experiences and the society in which you live.
A childs treasure
For some the fruits of the horse-chestnut tree mean nothing, but for a child it can be an invaluable treasure...

Rudbeckia
Flowers are good objects to shoot, they stay put while taking the photo and they never do funny faces...
HELP!!!
YOU! Yeah, YOU!
Next summer they will hang me, well, not me per se but my work, at a gallery exhibition. This will be my first ever solo exhibition. I have a slight problem though, how the heck do I choose just some 40 or so photos from an archive with around 2,000,000 images? Having been equipped with system cameras for close to 45 years there are quite a few images of just about anything to choose from.
Short and sweet, I need your help.
If you were to visit the exhibition, what would you like to see? Black & White, Macro, Concert, Nature, Childhood's End or maybe something else? Please help me out with a theme in the comments section.
