The last image

So now I can't even earn a buck from my own work? The full version of this image have been available printed on various items such as tees, towels and what not and as prints, but now Kult Management have decided to complain at Redbubble claiming it violates their rights and my work have been taken down!

Wait a second, I took the image as an accredited photographer at the event where the band performed and quite honestly you can't even see who the person is and therefore not in which band she or he plays, I own the rights to this image and not some two-bit operation out of Absurdistan. Result though is that I will never ever shoot this band and neither ever again post an image of them, ie I won't promote them in any way, shape or form from now.

Anyone whom is not involved with the management or the band who can say which band it is will get a high resolution edition of the image.

Backlight

A slow Sunday so I'm playing a little with the Alpha and backlight...

Mobile home redneck style...

Header clarity

This is sort of an addendum to yesterdays post "Officially pissed". An example on what will happen to the header when uploading it to Nouw, sort of an before and after image. No doubt it is messing up the image massively.

Educating the hacks

This is sort of an addendum to yesterdays post "Officially pissed". I tried to enter Nouw's own example into the content field of the widget module control. Note that these are not in any way code snippets for widgets, they are nothing more than simple URL:s (links). Surprise, surprise. It didn't work.

Without an HTML module available there is nowhere to enter code snippets for tracking and ranking for services like Bloggportalen or BlogToplist and therefore no possibility to compete with bloggers/influencers on other platforms.

Educating the hacks at Nouw, this is what widget code snippets or tracking codes look like. Please note that these aren't single line URL's. Where do I put them in a blog on your platform?

Officially pissed

I am now officially pissed. Little over a week ago this blog held the number 8 position in the category Photo/Art at Bloggportalen, Swedens largest ranking site for blogs, giving me visibility and loads of new readers. Then for some obscure reason the Nouw platform decided that the widget module should no longer be enabled to hold the tracking code of anything but simple URL:s resulting in the blog becoming totally invisible as it dropped entirely from the ranking list.

I have since written the platform owners both through Messenger and by e-mail, I even commented on their Facebook page, without even getting a message recieved, hence no explanation whatsoever to why they have done this. Why don't they want their users to be able to compete with bloggers on other platforms?

If there had been a module available for HTML snippets at least the tracking code could have been placed there, but not even this they have made possible.

As if this wasn't enough their scripts are now fucking up the header image as well, see images below the pooch. Every time an update has been made in the design you have always had to re-upload the header, but beginning yesterday the scripts have begun pixelating the image! Guess I'll have to do without a header for the time being.

So yes, I am officially PISSED!!!

Airbourne

Still no concerts or events in sight, question is if there will be any at all this year. In just 8 days the Swedish national day takes place and there will be no public celebrations just like there were none at Walpurgis Night, another national holiday. All that is left is to wander down memory lane with images from my archive, for instance the very first Bråvalla Festival in June 2013 when, among many others, Airbourne entered the stage.

Mallard

On todays field trip I came across a whole bunch of mallard ducklings, 12 to be exact, and of course their parents. Those fuzzy little fellows are just adorable.

Waterfront

Went on a little trip to a nearby marina with the family and of course the redhead went into modelling mode...

Fornication

House sparrows fornicating, not an easy thing to capture as they are done in seconds...

Breakfast

It's a good thing I don't need that much sleep, then I'm up at the crack of dawn enabling me to get shots like this with the neighbours pony at breakfast time.

Wings

At long last, soon the fields will be filled with little winged fellows. Actually they have already begun fluttering around here and there. These are nature's true wonders, so beautiful but fragile.

Playground

Weather is getting warmer, it actually feels like spring now and soon summer will be here as well. In playgrounds everywhere there's more activity as kids find their way out in the sun again.

Misty

On the way to my office yesterday I came across some mist...

Pissed

Today I am pissed! All of a sudden the tracking image for Bloggportalen or anything else in the same widget at Nouw won't appear in the page resulting in the ranking dropping from 8 to 16 in just a day.

Groupies

The weather today is really lousy with grey skies, rain and wind so I'm digging into the archive and give you a group of nature's own little suns.

Resting

Good morning, world. Another day in concert limbo, may just as well shoot another bird. There are loads of them at my girlfriends place, some in flight and others resting on the wires by the paddock.

Yellow

Not much else to do these days so I keep gallivanting around the countryside and in an occasional park shooting birds and florals. These yellow flowers I found in front of a red brick wall in the City Park (Stadsparken) in Katrineholm, Sweden, the other day.

The Model

In this 5-yearold, my girlfriends granddaughter, I have gotten an eager model. You just can't help falling in love with her lovely smile and amazing red hair.

Alfahanne

A little walk down memory lane to an event in May last year, Headbangers Eve at Fest i Flen, where Swedish metallers Alfahanne performed. This years edition of Headbangers Eve had to be cancelled due the Chinese affliction plagueing the world.

Waterworks

I like taking photos that are a little more challenging to do, like running water. Maybe not my best shot, but the conditions this morning weren't the best when visiting the City Park (Stadsparken) in Katrineholm, Sweden.

Screamer

Todays little field trip took me and my girlfriend together with her daughter and granddaughter to a playground in town, the wee one really got a chance to prove that she's a screamer...

In Flight

I got a couple of minutes before getting ready to depart for a possible little excursion so I stepped outside  with the camera and caught a goose in flight. What kind of goose I don't know though, if you know feel free to comment.

I Shoot People

This one never gets old...

5 o'clock

While you were sleeping at 5 o'clock in the morning I took my trusted Alpha for a walk and took some shots of the morning mist. Here are a couple of them for you to enjoy.

In heat

Strolling down memory lane longing for concerts and events to return. Here's a shot from a concert with H.E.A.T way back in 2012 when they were supporting act for Crystal Eyes at their 20th jubilee concert.

Tranquility

Today is all about tranquility, something not easily found in todays hectic society. Everyone should every now and then go out and find a quiet spot to sit down at and reflect on matters.

Wired

Maybe I should switch from event photography to shooting birds all together? I kind of like the challenge getting good shots of them, like this little house sparrow sitting on a wire. Problem is that I don't like cold, rain or snow very much and shooting bird brains would bring with it the need to be outside no matter what the weather is like.

Soapy

Watching kids having fun with soap bubbles spawned an idea on how to get nice wedding photos, the kind with just the bride and groom, so I went out and bought me a soap bubble gun. I have a wedding shoot coming up and plan to premiere it then. In the wake of shooting events I take any assignment I can get.

Awakenings

Nights are still cold, sub zero actually, but still nature is struggling with awakenings like small ferns unfolding to welcome spring and warmer weather.

Memories

In these pandemic days when everything is cancelled all that is left are memories of concerts gone by. One band I would have loved seeing and shooting live right now is the Swedish metallers Corroded after having employed a new axe grinder, Sam Söderlindh from Art Nation.

Here's a shot from their performance at Västerås Rockfest in 2018.

Garden shot

No time today for nature walks, but at least I got a shot from the garden...

Blessed

I am blessed being able to wake up every morning to this view, the photo is taken from the porch of my girlfriends place.

Drunkard

I'm beginning to get an idea how it is to be a drunkard with an empty bottle still having a thirst to drench being left without concerts to visit and shoot yearning for some live music.

Dandelion

It's the middle of May and snow is falling! Prince Hamlet was spot on when he said "time is out of joint". Luckily I still have loads of spring like images to choose from to remind me of what spring actually looks like.

Flower Girl

On the many nature walks I'm doing these days with the camera just to give me images to play with at least I won't have to go alone most of the time, I have an eager 5-yearold companion to keep me company. A flower girl of sorts, she usually bring some nice little flowers home for grandma.

Goldeneye

Except for my girlfriends granddaughter and occasional farm views all that is left to shoot when everything is cancelled is flowers and birds. Although the common goldeneye is a nice little feathered friend it's not what I'm supposed to be shooting, I am an event photographer.

Desperation

A strong sense of desperation is slowly creeping up, yesterday I got word that Skogsröjet Festival that was going to take place last of July will be cancelled. There is absolutely nothing for me to work with anytime soon!

Last days

A coltsfoot shot the other day on my early morning walk. This is the stage between blooming and seed release, sort of the last days of existance before a new generation will arrive next spring.

Sunday, May 10, 2020

Coltsfoot

Crappy weather again with cloudy skies, wind and rain. It's a good thing I took my morning stroll yesterday, now I have loads of images to  play with. Here's a coltsfoot with half it's seeds already scattered in the wind.

Gatherings

Being a rather social creature I sincerely miss attending events talking to people and shooting droves of photographs. This pandemic crap can't be over soon enough so I can go back to doing what I'm supposed to be doing, documenting events and concerts for posterity.

Classic wheels

I have a feeling I'm getting quite desperate for some actual work, please give some events to shoot, when even an old moped catch my interest...

Fresh air

Go visit the countryside and get some fresh air. Yeah, right...

While you were sleeping

At the crack of dawn while you were sleeping I hauled my ass out of bed to go for a walk and found loads of nice motifs to save for posterity.

Decapitation

Everyone have a friend or relative whom always decapitate their subjects when taking photographs. The explanation to why is actually quite simple and the solution is even simpler. When they click the button to shoot they actually use their entire hand causing the camera to tilt, hence the decapitation. When clicking only press down the finger that's actually on the trigger, problem solved.
